This article by Mikael Ricknäs of the IDG News Service is worth a read. It covers some of the issues brought on by the increase in mobile data traffic, particularly by home users: "Mobile traffic generated from homes was estimated at 40 percent of the total of such traffic in 2007, and by 2013 it is expected to reach 58 percent".
