HTC launches Touch Pro, mum on Google Android phone

HTC designs feature touch screen and QWERTY keyboard

AS the industry prepares for the biggest mobile phone release since the iPhone with the Android-based HTC Google phone in the US this week, HTC has remained silent over when the device will be available here instead releasing the Touch Pro through carrier Three.

HTC Australia and New Zealand sales and marketing director Anthony Petts said despite there being a significant announcement in the US regarding a HTC Android phone, he could not talk about the product or when, if at all, it will be available in Australia.

Petts said the new Touch Pro delivers a lot of benefits for business mobile users, including a full keyboard, shortcuts, and a business card reader integrated into the device.

It also has an Opera Web browser, integrated Google Maps and YouTube, but the phone does not offer a SIP client for VoIP.

The Touch Pro is a 3G HSDPA phone; however, it is not yet available for Telstra’s NextG network.

The HTC Touch Pro will be available through 3 mobile stores and dealers across Australia this month for $22 per month on a $69 Cap or $1099 outright.

Other networks will offer the phone from mid-October.

MSI GS75

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.

This small mobile printer is exactly what I need for invoicing and other jobs such as sending fellow tradesman details or step-by-step instructions that I can easily print off from my phone or the Web.
