Unwired unveils new data plan pricing scheme

A number of new mobile data plans introduced, including a 10GB plan at $39.95 per month. But there's a catch.

Unwired has introduced a new 10GB mobile data plan at the competetive price of $39.95 per month. Unfortunately, there's a catch.

The 10GB allowance is divided into two periods – peak and off-peak. The peak period lasts between 2pm and 2am, and each period is metered separately.

That means users will only be allocated 5GB of bandwidth during each period, and if they exceed that allocation in either traffic for that period will be shaped to 64kb for the rest of the month.

The $39.95 plan is also only available at speeds of 256kb/s. A 512kb plan is available with the same quota, but costs $10 extra.

Customers on existing subscription plans will be automatically upgraded to the new pricing schemes which most closely match their existing plans.

Unwired is also offering a $29.95 6GB plan and a $49.95 16GB plan at speeds of 256k/s, a $64.95 8GB plan at 512k/s and a $99.95 30G plan at 1024kb/s. But each plan uses the same peak/off peak model.

MSI GS75

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
