A new study by the Consumer Electronics Association confirms what many already know: people like to buy, play, and receive video game gifts for Christmas.
According to the research, video games (both hardware and software) are third among adults as the most desired gifts behind MP3 players and laptops but ahead of digital cameras and TVs. The same products were equally popular among teens.
But even though your favorite hobby fell behind iPods and computers on this year's wish list, video games topped the "planned gift" list -- a list of items that survey respondents intend to purchase for someone else.
Buying for yourself, eh?
