I love it when cool gadget design and global charity come together. Motorola is joining Apple in the fight against AIDS in Africa by offering up red versions of the RAZR and SLVR (though the latter is only available in Britain). The red MOTORAZR V3m will be offered through Sprint and is designed to support Bono's project RED. For every red RAZR sold money will be donated to The Global Fund, which is focused on fighting AIDS in Africa, especially in women and children. The red RAZR, featuring 1.3-megapixel digicam, Bluetooth, speakerphone, and MicroSD card slot, should be available through Sprint in early November for US$305, or $65 with two-year agreement and rebate.
Motorola joins Apple in support of RED. Already available is a smokin' red 4GB iPod nano for $199. Ten dollars from the sale of each red nano will go to The Global Fund, so if your spouse questions your purchase, just tell him/her that you're merely fulfilling your duty to make the world a better place.
