StorageCraft Releases RTR, Real-Time Recovery White Paper

 • 14 July, 2006 12:13

Sydney, Australia, July 14, 2006 — StorageCraft Technology Corporation, a provider of innovative security, disaster recovery and data protection solutions for servers and PCs, led locally by well known storage guru Greg Wyman (ex Seagate, Veritas and Symantec) today released their white paper on Real-Time Recovery (RTR). “The next generation, proven, affordable way to protect businesses using disk-based recovery.”

The purpose of the white paper is to demonstrate to the SMB market that inexpensive, disk-based recovery of both data and volumes is now available to them. It explains the severe limitation of existing tape based backup systems and backup software and highlights the advantages of RTR such as fast restore, system rebuild, backing up data every 15 minutes throughout the day as well as differential and incremental back ups.

Wyman said, “Whether it’s small business, medium-size companies, or indeed large corporations and Government instrumentalities, all should be able to restore key data like an SQL or Exchange database in a matter of minutes, not days and be able to do it for less than $750 per server. This is the new backup SLA for business today.” The white paper can be found on

Sample copies of StorageCraft’s RTR software – ShadowProtect Server Edition, ShadowProtect Desktop Edition and ShadowProtect IT Edition are available for review and Greg is available for interviews.
