Ricoh offers the best choice in low-cost monochrome and colour printing

 • 20 June, 2006 09:24

Ricoh is extending its family of affordable small office colour laser printers with the launch of the Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN in June. The new devices give businesses with occasional colour printing needs the flexibility of superior laser output without the high running costs.

Inheriting the reliable and proven engine technology from the Aficio CL4000DN, the new printers are fast and efficient. The Aficio SP C410DN produces prints at 25 pages per minute in both black-and-white and colour while the Aficio SP C411DN pushes this even further to 30 pages per minute. Depending on the network configuration, additional output productivity can be increased with the addition of a Gigabit Ethernet.

With features more often seen on larger printers, these neat office executives are an attractive business package. The fully integrated automatic duplex units perform without any loss in productivity and front panel monitoring is made easy with larger four-line displays.

Direct printing from a PictBridge compatible digital camera can now be achieved with the addition of the Camera Direct Print Card and Host USB Interface.

One of the easiest ways to control which users are allowed to print on the device (or even which have been disabled from printing in colour) is by registered user codes. The Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN allow for the registration of 100 users, which can be increased to a total of 500 users with the optional User Account Enhance Unit.

The total sheet paper capacity is 1,750 with the feeding of heavy 216 g/m2 stock available from every tray. Resolutions of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi can be selected to ensure superb high-quality output.

Highly energy efficient, the Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN take less than 30 seconds to warm up from their power saving standby modes.

Advanced monitoring through the network is simple with SmartDeviceMonitor and Web Image Monitor. These tools allow administrators to remotely manage the devices across the network. “E-mail alert” has been included allowing the Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN to inform the administrator or a group of users of conditions such as low paper or toner supplies.

Network Data Security is another standard feature and enhances print data security by sending jobs to the Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN in an encrypted format. The data is then decoded at the printer to minimise the risk of confidential documents being captured by unauthorised personnel. To further enhance data security an optional Hard Disk Drive Overwrite Security Unit can be added. This removes any latent image left on the drive once print jobs are completed.

Both the Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN are network ready devices with an Ethernet 10 base-T/100 base-TX network connector. USB 2.0 is also provided as is a range of other interface options.

New product: Aficio SP C410DN and SP C411DN

I need power and lots of it. As a Front End Web developer anything less just won’t cut it which is why the MSI GT75 is an outstanding laptop for me. It’s a sleek and futuristic looking, high quality, beast that has a touch of sci-fi flare about it.
