Big Brother losers to win new cars

 • 19 June, 2006 09:23

In a massive giveaway, drive.com.au will give new cars to Big Brother evictees

16 June 2006 – In a giveaway that kicked off on Sunday, June 11, Network Ten’s remaining Big Brother evictees will now each receive a handpicked new car courtesy of drive.com.au, the motoring website of Fairfax Digital.

drive.com.au’s editor and motoring expert Toby Hagon will personally choose each car for the evictees from a pool of vehicles, reflecting the wide variety available in drive.com.au’s 60,000 new and used vehicles currently listed.

A range of makes and models being given away will keep viewers guessing which evictee will get which car. Cars to be given away include Toyota, Mitsubishi, Citroen, Holden, Suzuki, Fiat, Volkswagen, Peugeot and Alfa Romeo.

“It’s a thrill to be part of such a massive giveaway,” Toby commented.

“Along with Drive’s team of motoring experts, we’ve selected each car based on various criteria including styling, safety, quality and performance, not to mention its potential appeal to a young and diverse group.

“Each year at Drive we road test more than a thousand cars, which puts us in a good position to ensure soon-to-be-evicted house mates will soon be driving something that their peers will appreciate and is also fun to drive.

“Having watched BB closely, I’ve already got some ideas of which car I reckon should be driven by the various house mates. But obviously I’m not the one who decides who gets what car!

“We take motoring seriously, but we also have to have some fun, especially with a program like Big Brother.”

Big Brother’s Live Eviction Show airs each Sunday evening. The giveaways will run until the show concludes in late July.

Big Brother is made and owned by Endemol Southern Star.
