Fuji Xerox Printers brings large office functionality to homes and small businesses

Sydney, Australia - 1 June 2006 - Fuji Xerox Printers today announces the launch of the WorkCentre PE220, which brings large office functionality to personal and small business users across Australia. The multifunctional laser printer combines the powers of print, scan, copy and fax into one compact package, with a print speed of 20 pages per minute (ppm) and a maximum resolution of 600 dots per inch (dpi).

The new WorkCentre PE220 offers a rapid print speed and comes with an array of timesaving features, such as the Auto Fit Copy function. This function enables the user to reduce or enlarge an original image to fill a printable area of a letter size page, saving the user time and ensuring a professional finish - crucial for SOHO users.

SOHO businesses continue to blossom in Australia and their IT demands are evolving as they become more successful. Demand is rising for devices that can cover a myriad of disciplines, thus delivering cost savings to small business users and delivering improved efficiency in a market that is becoming increasingly competitive.

Geoff Croshaw, general manager of Fuji Xerox Printers comments, "The multifunctional device market is an area we expect to continue strong growth in 2006 and is a market particularly important to the printer industry as a whole." Geoff continues, "Long gone are days when a printer just prints! Modern small business and home users demand feature-heavy products that offer a full complement of office functions from scanning and printing to copying and faxing. The WorkCentre PE220 is perfect for these personal and small business users, who demand reliability, time-efficient features and a highly competitive price point."

Additional key features include the ability to:
- Automatically print both sides of a document on to the same side of a printed page using the ID Copy function
- Convert hard copy documents into spreadsheets, text or HTML formats
- Colour fax transmission capability
- Scan documents and convert them into PDF format documents via the OmniPage and Paperport functions
- Create and edit phonebook entries via a connected PC, allowing for the easy creation of fax system data options

Pricing and Availability
The Workcentre PE220 is available through authorised dealers and has a recommended retail price of $499.00 including GST.

As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess (sports mode if you will) in between.
