TIBCO Expands Presence In New Zealand

 • 18 May, 2006 15:13

Auckland, New Zealand – 18 May 2006 - TIBCO Software Inc., a leading business integration and process management software company that enables real-time business, today announced that it is expanding its presence in New Zealand with the appointment of Capital Technology Distributors. The companies will work together to distribute a range of proven solutions across business process management (BPM) and service-orientated architecture (SOA).

Today Capital Technology is already considered by many to be a leader in bringing "best of breed" applications to the New Zealand market place. This strategic initiative will help strengthen TIBCO’s regional and metropolitan market presence. It will also help to ensure greater access to markets across New Zealand – particularly in the Utility, Financial Services, Telecommunications and Entertainment sectors.

Darin McKay, Enterprise Sales Director, Capital Technology, commented, "The market is definitely ripe for TIBCO’s solutions, which provide businesses of all sizes with the ability to increase operational efficiencies and reap the cost savings and revenue opportunities that improved processes bring." Darin continued, "TIBCO offers a unique combination of proven enterprise application integration and business process management tools, which support code-free implementation. Investing in these higher level tools significantly reduces time to value and on-going maintenance costs, over the old fashioned ‘code-it-from-scratch’ approach." Darin concluded, "We’re excited about the strong level of interest we are receiving in TIBCO solutions."

The robust New Zealand economy and rapidly growing market interest in business integration and process management solutions have been key drivers in increasing TIBCO’s investment in the region. Mark Fahmy, Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, TIBCO, commented: "This announcement reinforces TIBCO’s commitment to bringing our tested solutions to the New Zealand marketplace. We are all about helping companies become more cost-effective, more agile and more efficient. Expanding our on-the-ground presence via Capital Technology means we are even better positioned to grow our existing footprint in the region and help deliver world-class products to New Zealand customers."

TIBCO customer – TelstraClear – a New Zealand-based communications company commented on the forthcoming news: "TelstraClear relies on TIBCO as its core business process integration platform," said Declan Shea, Chief Architect, TelstrClear. "Since our initial project involving TIBCO in 2001, the technology has played a pivotal role in the implementation of any new project we have planned. The most compelling point of the software is that it is easy-to-use and is quick to formulate, and yet has the ability to deliver on the most complex of tasks." Declan concludes, "We look forward to working even more closely with TIBCO going forward as we pursue several business to business integrations with our service partners."
