NetComm Provides High Speed Broadband Simplicity with New ADSL Internal Modem

 • 20 March, 2006 12:09

NetComm, a leading Australian provider of communications products and solutions, has launched the NB100 – an internal (PCI) ADSL modem ideal for system builders and OEM’s (original equipment manufacturer’s). The modem installs directly into a desktop computer to provide broadband Internet connectivity.

“The NB100 addresses the growing trend of ‘entertainment networking’, as it is an ideal companion for Media Centre PCs. The unit allows for multimedia content to be downloaded directly from the Internet into the Media Centre unit,” said David Stewart, Managing Director, NetComm. “The launch of the NB100 once again shows NetComm’s commitment to producing high-quality new technology solutions for all levels of users,”

The NB100 allows for Internet connectivity to be built straight into a computer, removing the need for a separate desktop device. The unit is a standards compliant ADSL modem that provides an ‘always on’ high speed Internet broadband connection.

With transfer data rates up to 8Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream, the NB100 is the perfect solution for high-bandwidth applications such as access to a network, the Internet and video. The NB100 is fully compliant with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU G.992.2 standards.

NetComm’s NB100 is available now for system builders through NetComm’s distributor network at a recommended retail price of $59.40 (including GST) per unit. The NB100 is only available in boxes of 50. Product enquiries can be made to NetComm on (02) 9424 2070 or sales@netcomm.com.au
