Epson Perfection 4990 Photo

At the top end of Epson's range of home and office scanners sits the Perfection 4990 Photo. It's big, it's expensive and it has some impressive specifications, but is it any good?

I-mate JAMin

The minute we took the I-mate JAMin out of the box, we thought we were seeing double. Small, black and with rounded edges, the JAMin bears a striking resemblance to the <a href=" http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/index.php/taxid;2136212597;pid;1314;pt;...

JBL L 280 2.1 Speakers

In the home theatre arena, JBL aren't exactly well known. One of a host of smaller home entertainment companies, they produce a small lineup of quite impressive products. We recently looked at the L280 2.1 speaker setup, and whilst the quality didn...

Lexmark E240n

The compact black Lexmark E240n has the same angular design as the company's E232 and E330 models. This unit adds networking through its built-in ethernet port. Like the older printers, the E240n has the same simple two-button, five-LED control panel...

Nokia 7380

Last year we reviewed an extremely unusual, if very unique mobile handset from Nokia. The <a href="http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/index.php/taxid;2136212598;pid;1103;pt;1"target="new">7280</a> won points for an abstract design that would have appeal...

Hitachi PJ-TX200

Hitachi has had a good record with high quality home theatre projectors in the past. When we heard they had a new model coming out (the successor to the popular <a href=" http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/index.php/taxid;2136212889;pid;152;pt;1" targe...

For many people, one keyboard is much the same as any other. For those who use keyboards day in day out for hours on end, the difference a great keyboard can make is remarkable. It can improve typing efficiency, reduce the potential for things like...

Harman Kardon HS100

It's amazing how much impact a set of decent speakers can have. It's the difference between simply watching a movie and feeling immersed in its atmosphere. There are plenty of mediocre home cinema sets around that don't really do the job, with poor s...

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
