ASUS C90S

Although it's not the first, the ASUS C90S is one of the more elegant implementations of a desktop CPU in a notebook, even if it is an over-the-top, and only marginally effective, approach to gaining performance. Built for gaming, the C90S uses an In...

Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio

Buying a sound card for a new PC isn't something many of us have thought about doing for many years. After all, motherboards have built-in audio that does the job just fine, right? Well, that's true to a point. A dedicated sound card can give you cle...

Tannoy i30

The audio space is a very strange microcosm in the technology world. There is basically no price cap on what you can spend and the majority of people making the best equipment are not known by the public at all. Tanoy isn't quite that high end, but t...

Motion graphics and compositing veteran Combustion has been idling in the Autodesk back room, but is now back for 2008, with some workflow improvements and the addition of the Colour Warper tool, derived from the Flame visual effects system.

Sapphire Radeon HD3870 X2

It's been over a year since ATI was knocked head-first off its proverbial high-horse, landing in the not-so-soft wake of NVIDIA' total domination. However, with the launch of the Radeon HD3870, and now the HD 3870 X2, ATI has at last begun to claw it...

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910
