Lightsabers In a news item that made headlines around the world last September, researchers at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced that they had invented the lightsaber. Well, kind of. What they actually did was create an environment in which photons bond together like molecules, creating a sort of solid light. “It’s not an inapt analogy to compare this to lightsabers,” said lead researcher Mikhail Lukin. “When these photons interact with each other, they’re pushing against and deflecting each other. The physics of what’s happening in these molecules is similar to what we see in the movies.”

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
