With so many people in and around the displays at Sydney's Sculpture by the Sea, it can be hard to take the time to set up your camera for optimal results (unless you go early in the morning or late in the afternoon).
Instead of tweaking settings, we thought we would just let our Nikon Coolpix P7800 test camera do all the work for us. The following photos are not edited in any way, and are displayed merely as an example of what the Nikon Coolpix P7800 can do all by itself.
The conditions were difficult: bright, with lots of highlights, and some photos were backlit. All up, we think the Coolpix performed well under the circumstances (you have 52 somewhat averagely framed shots to make up your own mind).
A bonus with this camera is that it has a built in electronic viewfinder (EVF), which was very much needed during the bright conditions we endured — it was too hard to see what was going on in the LCD screen. Another bonus is that the camera isn't big or heavy, and it also has a big zoom on it so that you can get some decent shots from afar.
