Scott McNealy Scott McNealy was Sun’s CEO for 22 years. During that time, he strongly supported free, open source products such as the Java programming language. Sun general counsel Mike Dillon says of McNealy, "At Sun, we had a founder, CEO, and chairman in Scott McNealy, who played hockey and constantly implored employees to 'have fun and kick some ass!' He also kept employees focused on what was most important—innovation and customers.’’
