In Pictures: Tech's biggest flops of 2012 (so far)

The tech world moves so fast that you've probably forgotten about at least some of the big flops that have already happened this year. Here's a quick rundown to keep you in the loop.

Piracy Lawsuits

Thankfully, inane piracy lawsuits and the questionable practices of organizations such as the RIAA and the MPAA have mostly been flops--so far. A U.S. District Court judge recently dismissed a lawsuit that had targeted about 25,000 BitTorrent users, though the plaintiff company, Voltage Pictures, subsequently file a new suit against 2514 unnamed defendants. Not all piracy-related lawsuits have flopped, however. The U.S. Supreme Court recently declined to hear the case of former college pirate Joel Tenenbaum, who had been found liable for copyright infringement for downloaded 31 songs in 2007 and had been fined $675,000 by a U.S. District Court jury.
