Toshiba busts out old notebooks and new models

Hot models take Toshiba laptops to the catwalk at 25th anniversary showcase

What better way to show off past Toshiba notebooks than a catwalk parade. We were treated to a tech fashion show of a different sort today, as models from the Sydney Fashion Festival showed of some of the most important notebooks in Toshiba's history. The event marked the 25th anniversary of Toshiba's first laptop.

The year is 1985, the laptop is the Toshiba T1100. Key specs include an 8MHz CPU, 256KB RAM, a 3.5in floppy drive, a 640x290-resolution monochrome screen, and it weighed 4.1kg. The price? $2990.
