The new Kingdom Hearts story takes place around 10 years before the original game, looking into the individual stories of Sora’s (the main character of the first Kingdom Hearts) predecessors: Terra, Ven and Aqua. The three protagonists are Keyblade apprentices who go in search for a missing Keyblade Master through the Disney universe.

Along with the exploration of these new characters come new gameplay mechanics and a new way of moving through the story. Players control each of the three characters, whose journeys interlace for a new experience to Kingdom Hearts veterans.
