Introducing the camcorder cream of the crop...

Sony Bloggie HD MHS-PM5

The Sony Bloggie HD MHS-PM5 is a pocket-sized camcorder tailor-made for Internet bloggers. Unlike most pocket cams, the HD MHS-PM5 has the ability to shoot 1080p video at 30 frames per second, or 720p video at 60 fps. (This should give image quality a substantial boost.) Footage is saved as MPEG-4 video using the H.264 codec.

Other highlights include a 270-degree rotating lens (perfect for adjusting stationary shots), a built-in USB connector (for offloading clips to a computer) and a simple, beginner-friendly control scheme. It also has the ability to play clips in landscape mode on its 2.4in LCD screen.

Interestingly, the Bloggie HD MHS-PM5 is compatible with SD/SDHC cards, as well as Sony's Memory Stick format (previous Sony handycams have only supported the latter.)
