Dell is ringing in the New Year with notebook and desktop PC packages aimed to help the kids get stuck into schoolwork. For instance, it's offering the Dell Inspiron 15 notebook (a variant of the Inspiron 1545 we reviewed) for $160 off its $1159 original RRP. Dell is also throwing in a 19in monitor, printer, bag, speakers, a mouse and Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student. Dell is offering a similar package with its Inspiron 545 desktop PC, all for $999.
