RIM has recently announced the launch of the first BlackBerry Flip handset, the Pearl 8220.

RIM has recently announced the launch of the first BlackBerry Flip handset, the Pearl 8220. The new Pearl Flip features an external display to preview e-mails, view the caller ID of incoming calls and preview new text messages. The flip (clamshell) design is part of an ongoing push into the consumer market for BlackBerry.
