The easy-to-use DX-format Nikon D300 offers outstanding image quality, multi-functional technologies and fast response. With class-leading 12.3 Megapixel resolution, speedy 6 fps frame advance, self-cleaning sensor unit and high definition 3-inch VGA LCD display, combined with Nikon’s legendary durability, the Nikon D300 is a breakthrough solution for photographers searching for an advanced compact SLR. “Packed with the latest technologies and Nikon’s renowned ergonomics, the Nikon D300 sets a new standard for professionals on a budget,” said Robert Cristina, Brand Manager, Nikon Professional Products, Europe.

Featuring a new 12.3 effective megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor, the Nikon D300 offers a broad light sensitivity range of ISO 200 to ISO 3200 with LO 1 for IS0 100 equivalent and HI 1 for IS0 6400 equivalent settings. Fast and powerful, the Nikon D300’s internal processing is done in 16-bit full colour regardless of which of the 12-bit or 14-bit formats you might be shooting in. With a near-instant power-up within 0.13 seconds, a shutter release time lag of a mere 0.045 seconds when shooting in JPEG, TIFF, or 12-bit NEF (RAW) formats, lightning reflexes comes as standard.

For even higher performance, you can benefit from continuous mode at a dizzying 8 fps when using the Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D10 with batteries other than Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL3e. The Nikon D300 not only offers unprecedented focusing speed and precision of a new 51-point AF system but also many new features for Nikon that includes a Self-cleaning Sensor Unit and support for next-generation high-speed card UDMA. A new eye-level pentaprism viewfinder and Liveview function ensures that you can best equipped when composing your shots.
