Garmin's nuvi 1450T continues the fine form of the nuvi range. The extra real estate offered by the 5in screen is well utilised, making this yet another excellent GPS unit from Garmin. Highly recommended.

RRP: $199.00
The Navigon 1400 is one of the smallest and lightest GPS units on the market; it's ideal for being slipped into a pocket and used in pedestrian mode. The overall navigational experience suffers due to a small screen, but at this price the Navigon 1400 is great value.
Review Date: 21-JAN-2010
RRP: $499.00
The Navigon 6300 packs a wealth of features into a relatively compact and stylish frame. Despite being a top-of-the-range model, this GPS unit represents excellent value for money.

RRP: $349.00
TomTom's XXL 540 GPS unit takes the XL 340 and adds an extra-large display, but the navigation experience is similar. Unless you're hell bent on getting a GPS with a big screen, we think most users will be better off saving some money and opting for the XL 340 instead.

RRP: $299.00 $199.00
Provided you don't require any advanced features and can live with a small display, Garmin's nuvi 1250 GPS unit offers an excellent navigation experience.
Review Date: 30-NOV-2009
RRP: $449.00
The TomTom GO 750 adds voice control to its collection of features. Although it's far from perfect, this is yet another excellent TomTom GPS. The lack of traffic capabilities is a little disappointing at this price, but users will appreciate TomTom's interface and the overall navigation experience.
Review Date: 23-NOV-2009
RRP: $159.99
The TomTom car kit for iPhone works exactly as intended and provides a secure and practical way to mount your smartphone in the car. It's a little expensive and many will point out that the iPhone's GPS performance should have been better in the first place. However, if you regularly use your iPhone as your primary navigator then it comes highly recommended.

RRP: $199.00
TomTom's Start is the company's cheapest GPS ever, and the good news is that the overall navigation experience hasn't been sacrificed to achieve the low price. Though not perfect, the TomTom start combines a simple, easy-to-use interface and a compact design, making it ideal for first-time buyers.
Review Date: 17-NOV-2009
RRP: $169.00
The Laser Navig8r G35 GPS unit is let down by a small, low quality screen and a speaker that isn't loud enough. If you don't care what your GPS looks like, free map updates (with some limitations) and a low price make it seem appealing. However, there are too many issues for us to recommend the G35 as a good buy.
Review Date: 11-NOV-2009
RRP: $229.00
The Laser Navig8r G43 GPS unit offers plenty of features for a relatively low asking price, but a poor quality speaker, a screen that's hard to see in direct sunlight and keystroke lag diminish its appeal.
Review Date: 05-NOV-2009
RRP: $59.99
Though many of its limitations can and will be corrected by future software updates, as it stands the NDrive Australia GPS iPhone app is clearly lagging behind the competition.
Review Date: 29-OCT-2009
RRP: $79.99
ALK Technologies' CoPilot Live 8 for iPhone app has an excellent user interface and a great map screen, but erratic GPS performance and a few missing features hinder its appeal. With future software updates to correct its issues, this GPS app has the potential to be one of the best available for the iPhone.

Samsung's Pixon 12 is a great camera phone but lacks in a few other areas. If you're purely after a camera phone then this will do the job, but if you're looking for more of an all-round smartphone, the Pixon 12 fails to deliver.
Review Date: 27-OCT-2009
RRP: $199.00
At just $199, the Navman C40 is certainly cheap and for the most part it does a reasonable job. It is essentially an older GPS unit with updated software, though; Mio's Moov range is a valid alternative at a similar price.
