Best tablets: Editor's choice (August 2011)

PC World's Editor's choice tablets are a rank of the top five tablets based on personal selection by the PC World Australia editorial team

Are you in the market for a new tablet? See what our expert reviewer's recommend with our editor's choice selections. These tablets are a rank of the top 5 models based on personal selection by the PC World Australia editorial team.

Our August editor's choice list is headed by the market leading Apple iPad 2, the current, undisputed king of tablets. We've found room for three Android "Honeycomb" tablets including the razor-thin Galaxy Tab 10.1, along with the 7in BlackBerry PlayBook. Despite its lack of native e-mail, the PlayBook's UI and compact size makes it a nice alternative to larger tablets.

RIM BlackBerry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook has a refreshing interface and excellent multitasking, but its lack of apps -- both default and through BlackBerry App World -- means it offers little incentive for non-BlackBerry smartphone owners. With future software updates and additions, the PlayBook will only improve, but it remains behind the competition.

Interesting, does this mean that a word document could be emailed - filled out and then returned as a completed form? I would like more info on this type of capability, please let me know.
