Best 7 inch tablets

Apple has promoted a one size fits all approach with its 9.7in iPad and iPad 2 tablets, but this doesn't mean you aren't left with other choices.
For many users, the iPad's 9.7in screen makes it too large — some consumers would feel more comfortable using a smaller tablet with a 7in screen. This means that it can easily slip into a handbag, or suit jacket pocket.
Samsung's Galaxy Tab kick-started the 7in tablet market, but a host of devices have followed including the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.
5 / 6
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a nicely sized tablet that offers the flexibility of Google's Android OS, making it a valid alternative to the iPad. However, the Galaxy Tab feels far less slick and polished in many areas than Apple's tablet, especially when it comes to Web browsing. We also feel the Galaxy Tab is overpriced, making it a tough sell in a soon to be crowded market.
