Apple has promoted a one size fits all approach with its 9.7in [[artnid:342882|iPad]] and [[artnid:381655|iPad 2]] tablets, but this doesn't mean you aren't left with other choices.
For many users, the iPad's 9.7in screen makes it too large — some consumers would feel more comfortable using a smaller tablet with a 7in screen. This means that it can easily slip into a handbag, or suit jacket pocket.
[[artnid:367327|Samsung's Galaxy Tab]] kick-started the 7in tablet market, but a host of devices have followed including the [[artnid:372833|BlackBerry PlayBook]] and the [[artnid:401378|Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7]].
4 / 6
The BlackBerry PlayBook has a refreshing interface and excellent multitasking, but its lack of apps -- both default and through BlackBerry App World -- means it offers little incentive for non-BlackBerry smartphone owners. With future software updates and additions, the PlayBook will only improve, but it remains behind the competition.
