2011 is promising some pretty impressive televisions, with a huge range of inbuilt features. There are some pretty cool improvements over last year's sets — passive 3D (like at the movies), streaming Internet TV channels and a whole swathe of picture quality boosts. Nothing's actually hit the ground yet — we should be seeing some of these TVs on store shelves by mid-April — so read through these previews and work out which model suits you best.

LG's LW6500 LED TV is one of the more innovative TVs to be announced at CES 2011. It uses passive 3D -- just like a cinema screen -- which means glasses are a lot cheaper and crosstalk should be reduced. It also has all the Web features you'd expect from a high-end TV in 2011, like an application download service and movie streaming.
