Today's mobile phones are a great example of the benefits of a converged device, offering features like the ability to browse the Internet, edit documents and watch multimedia content. Many current smartphones are also capable of recording high quality video, sometimes even high-definition video. Some of these devices are so advanced that they make inexpensive, compact video cameras like the Cisco Flip MinoHD seem almost obsolete.

We really want to like the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, but as it stands, it has too many niggling issues to recommend. If Sony Ericsson upgrades its software to correct the performance issues then this will be a very impressive smartphone.
