The latest Internet-capable smartphones are a great study tool if used wisely.
These days a smartphone is a must-have for many students, whether they go high school, college, TAFE or university. We've rounded up some of the best phones for students, from basic budget offerings like the Android-powered Huawei IDEOS U8150 to the waterproof Motorola Defy, and the ever-popular Apple iPhone 4.

Many people will find the XPERIA X10 Mini Pro too small. However, we found it to be a quirky but compelling handset. Sony Ericsson deserves a lot of credit for an excellent UI and a great physical keyboard, not to mention the fact that this is a fully fledged Android smartphone that doesn't skimp on the features found on larger, more expensive devices.
