The best HTC phones: We round-up the top HTC smartphones on the market

HTC may not have the same brand recognition as the likes of Apple and Nokia, but the Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones has made huge strides in the mobile market. HTC is widely considered to be the top manufacturer of Android smartphones, and also produces devices running Microsoft's new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. HTC also manufactured the world's first Android smartphone, the HTC Dream (better known as the T-Mobile G1 in the US) and is best known for its HTC Desire, which is exclusively sold through Telstra in Australia.

HTC Desire

HTC's Desire is the first Android phone to be released by Telstra, and we think it's the best Android phone period. A highly impressive design, a superb, customisable user interface and all the features and capabilities of the latest version of Android combine to produce an excellent smartphone. It will only get better with software updates.
