Best iPhone navigation apps

The dominance of Apple's iPhone is largely thanks to its App Store, and some of the most useful third-party applications are fully fledged navigation apps that take advantage of the phone's GPS capabilities.
There is no shortage of GPS-based apps available for the iPhone, including from big brands like TomTom, Navigon and CoPilot Live, as well as lesser known players like Sygic and NDrive.

TomTom's iPhone app offers an extremely user-friendly navigation experience with support for the company's proprietary IQ Routes technology. However, it lacks the features that would make it a sufficient replacement for mid-range and even some budget standalone GPS units.
