The thing randomly stops printing during jobs on occasion and freezes print jobs on the computer. The only way to get it to act right is to power cycle it. Half the time the power button doesn't respond; you have to unplug!

We have had our HP Officejet 6500 for a little over 2 years ... Started having ink system errors 3 weeks ago. I removed the printhead and cleaned it ... but it back and worked perfectly for 3 weeks .... now we are told that the printhead is worn out and we need to spend $50 to get a new one ... and it is not guaranteed to work. It is a really good printer if you plan on replacing it every couple of years.

The printer has been a constant problem. It keeps not recognising the ink cartridges are there and full. With every new use it requires fiddling with the cartidges to try and get recognition before it will print scan or copy.
