  • Pros
Performance, Dolby Sound, Build quality, Design, Thinness, Warranty, Keyboard, Thinkpad software,...
  • Cons
Screen could have better colours and contrast ratio, price

I absolutely love this product. It is amazing! Even Lenovo's technical support is very helpful and great. The only negative thing I could say about this product is the fact that the screen doesn't have the best contrast ratio one could hope for, and could have better colour reproduction. Apart from that, this is truly an amazing product that I would recommend to anyone, providing they can afford it and don't need the best screen in the market. For a good screen, I think the W520 or T520's FHD screens are better options.

    X1 Built in Microphone

I have the Thinkpad and although it feels like a great machine there are 3 really annoying issues i have. 1. The internal microphone is useless - no one can hear anything clearly even when you put you mouth 2 inches from the keys. Not sure if the problem is only mine. 2. Does anyone know if or where you can buy a 1 pin headset with microphone? I cant find one anywhere designed for laptops and so I need to use a USB adapter which takes up one USB ports. 3. No 15 pin VGA port so I am having to use an Apple Mini Display Port and have had loads of trouble displaying any decent resolution through a projector

  • Pros
    Basically the whole X1
  • Cons
    Mini DVI not straight VGA!

Couldnt wait to take delivery of the X1. It lives up to the hype and my expectations. Perfect keyboard, performance, battery life, weight, sturdy and very thin body. Only disappointing issue and I can't believe Lenovo did this, there is no VGA port. For such a high end no doubt executive notebook that will be dragged from meeting to meeting connecting to projectors why would they decide to make this the first model with mini dvi. I would once chuckle at the Macbook users scrabbling to find the right connectors to attach their devices to standard VGA in meeting rooms. Now I'm one too.
