HP EliteBook 2540p notebook
HP's EliteBook 2540p is small, strong, fast and expensive!

- Prosrobust
- Consnothing, perhaps the battery
I've been using a 2540P for 4months and cant say there is anything i've found wrong with the thing. (my fist serious computer was a hp3000 circa 1981) Dual boot linux with XP,both work fine as does a win7 virtual box session on either. I get a couple of hours out of the battery, but havent really struck anything that still gives that life after a few months of being hauled from state to state (mine to mine). I'm not likely to ever shell out the $3549 mentioned for one, but for the corporate traveller any IT department would be safe from a manager's complaints if this machine were an option.

Very disappointing performance on this laptop. I upgraded from the 2530P which was a good and reliable machine. The microphone on the 2540P only works intermittantly and is of poor quality when it works. Why would a company put poor parts in an upgraded model? Very disappointing. I would definitely not recommend this computer to others following this experience.
