This is my first smartphone, and I was expecting it to take a little while to get used to the menus, typing, etc. However, this phone is incredibly simple to use.
The display is VERY sharp, the menus are easy to navigate, and despite it being a large phone, it's still comfortable to hold and use.
My only criticism is the rather short battery life (Due primarily to the screen hogging a large portion of the power).

This is a huge upgrade for me (had a 4 yr old BlackBerry bold for business use only). Now that Ive had it for over a month and have settled in with its design - here are some comments:
Pros: great screen, super easy to use, love the beats audio sound, love the architecture.
Cons: on/off button awkward positioning to wake-up screen...with larger phone its hard to hit button located on TOP with one hand when screen goes to sleep. Why wouldn't wake-up button be on front of phone?? No work around - tried multiple apps to change this and no help there. Also this phone raves about its camera which is one of the reasons i got it but photos are consistently grainy.
Lastly - and this is a huge issue - the HTC Music application which comes with the phone is great EXCEPT! the Google Play Music libraries are not compatible to import into the phones software. Why would HTC do this? I loaded my whole library into HTC Music and now have to repeat the process into Google play music. I actually prefer HTC Music - easy to use, very nice application but it is useless as this phone is Google based!
Overall an excellent smartphone.
