When I bought this system two years ago, it was marketed as "Home theatre in a box." The price was about $700 which was good for a blu-ray HT at the time. I would have prefered wireless rear speakers but I've heard mixed reviews on the sound quality from wireless speakers and it really wasn't that big a deal to run the wires through a crawl space. Two years later, no buyer's regret. If you just want surround sound with a blu-ray, this is a good system. If you want more connectivity or "smart" functions, look elsewhere.
