Several reviews had mentioned great base. To me I'd call it booming low mid range. It could be far better if the speaker system had been engineered.

My delux digital radio is just fine. Everything works, sound is great, including stations is a breeze, IPod dock no problem. I can even attach my old Zen Jukebox. I live in Dubai so tuning to Oz radio (ABC stations & Classic Rock) on the internet is a delight. This is a great little toy.

Had one for about a month now. Everything works a gem. Best kitchen radio I 've ever had. Great powerful sound out of the 30watt speakers, as long as you don't cover the speakers. Worth every cent.

    cheap remote - but what do you want at this price?

My SO was looking for a dock to use an old iPhone (with a dead battery) as an MP3 player.
I was looking for an internet radio and also fancied sampling DAB.
The reviews pointed to this KOGAN unit as a good choice.
I snapped this up when the price was temporarily dropped to $149.
The internet radio uses the Frontier Silicon portal so its a sure thing that the innards are made by Frontier Silicon, a giant in the DAB field.
It looks good and the sound quality, whilst not hi-fi , is pleasing enough when the source is good. (Can't blame the unit for the low bitrate of some internet streams or DAB stations).
How could it be improved? I would love to see ia model which is portable - with a handle and able to run on batteries so I could take it out to the shed!
