  • Pros
    good product, good service
  • Cons
    nothing

We bought our iClebo Smart about 12 months ago and are extremely happy with it. We use it on average 2-3 times a week and would not want to be without it. We have a big black dog with long hair and where no other vaccuum cleaner (we have a Dyson) manages to clean up all the hair, with the iCiebo our carpet looks as good as new. We use it regularly on slate flooring and have never had an issue.
We had a problem with the brush once - when I inserted it wrongly and it overheated - and Alpha Robotics replaced it instantly without any charge, even dropped off the replacement parts at our house.

  • Pros
    Robots for cleaning
  • Cons
    robot gimics

iClebo works for me and has been doing a stirling job for months. With pets and children and general dust, it really helps me stay on top of things and provides a clean floor quietly for very little effort. Alpharobotics have been great so far with gracious help over the phone a couple of times and a generous attitude to a motor problem. I have had no problems with any other aspect of the machine, including the rubber blade on the dust bin. I feel that this company seeks to operate honestly and honourably and is being very helpful, even generous about a current repair and minor upgrade. The product is genuinely good and I would love to see more households being helped by this robot. With such an excellent product, distribution company and time pressured lives, support and perseverance are warranted for this new venture.

  • Pros
    Save your money
  • Cons
    Complete waste of money

This is the most expensive boat anchor I have ever purchased. The rubber bin door wears out after a few hours of cleaning so it wont pick up dust rather just shoot it out the back. This is a known issue.

The retailer wont take it back and refund me even though it is under warranty. Search whirlpool.net.au for more information before wasting a lot of money like I did.

  • Pros
    Surprisingly efficient
  • Cons
    Doesn't bring me a beer

Obviously Andrew did not read that the reviewer did a battery run down test that lasted a lot longer than an hour. I have had my iClebo for more than six months running it for 2 hours a day and find it to be a great help in maintaining cleaner floors. I have found the Australian distributor to be very helpful & they even recently sent me a new rubber blade for the bin for free when after 5 months of daily use it had gotten a little damaged. They advised me to avoid letting my iclebo robot from crossing over metal strips as that will over time damage the rubber. I will just shut the particular door to avoid the metal strip crossing multiple times & do that room seperately from now on, a small effort to make to look after something that saves me sooo much time. My floors have never been cleaner, I love it!

  • Pros
    I LOVE my iClebo Smart
  • Cons
    Doesn't walk up stairs

WOW--- what a cleaver little machine. If you had told me that a robot vacuum cleaner could do a cleaning job as my Smart Intelligent has done, I wouldnt have beleived it...ever.... but having seen my friends work, I gave it ago with a home demonstation, and was sold on the spot, literally and set my smart model to work staight away after charging him.

MY home has carpets and floor boards and rugs, some different levels to manoeuver and navigate around. Aswell as cleaning up after my Dog and Cat (messy-hairy things) My Smart vacuum has done a brilliant job consitantly since purchasing him (yes him.."Will" ) inOctober 2010 i do to the job I hate the most.

My downstairs is floor boards and rugs, this is not a problem at all, upstairs carpet entirely. Even on carpet with the power head and beater it lifts all the animals hair brilliantly. You wont beleive how much hair it gathers into the little recepticle container.
I've waited or should I say I have expected "will" to need some repairs, or sevicing with the number of cleans he has done, but apart fromt he wiping down with a damp cloth, I find "will" is as good today as he was 5 months ago.
Not sure why you Andrew have had this strip issue, I have checked mine, and as I said before, everything is working brilliantly and still in good order. Im sure this strip could be replaced.
I think the cost of this machine is totally affordable, when I look a the hours I could be setting up, doing the work itself, and on a hot day, its heaven.
thanks
MARC H-J and "will"

  • Pros
    Does a good clean
  • Cons
    Only available in black

I purchased my iClebo about 8 months ago. It works really well and has taken a great workload from our normal vacuuming duties. Our house is an average three bedroom home with hardwood flooring throughout. iClebo vacuums under beds and does a fantastic edge sweep which is where most of the daily fluff seem to lodge. It goes off automatically each day and recharges itself. Occasionally he will get lost and needs me to charge him, but that is only on rare occasions. It is so nice to come home and have a house like someone has cleaned the floor whilst you are out. Recently our iClebo had a problem with his main brush. I contact mark in Sydney and he come to my home in Newcastle within three days as arranged and fixed the problem. I have also purchased extra filters over the net with mark and they have promptly been delivered without issue. Mark also contacted me by telephone after the minor breakdown to ensure that we were happy with the unit. We are happy with it and when it does finally die he will be replaced. Whilst we will always keep our other vacuum for after parties etc our iClebo certainly has proven his worth. Mark's service and after sales service has been second to none. Thank you

  • Pros
    battery life
  • Cons
    rubber strip design fault

After much research in to robotic vacuums, I decided on the iClebo Smart. After searching the web, I found that the only place I could buy one was from eBay or from the Australian Distributor Alpha Robots. I (mistakenly) thought that buying from the Oz distributor would be a safer bet. Wrong.

After 5 months of ownership, I would not recommend the iClebo to anyone. The iClebo relies on a thin rubber strip to pick up rubbish/dust. This rubber strip is incorporated in to the dust bin door.

After minimal use, the rubber wears down. When the rubber wears down, it wont vacuum properly. This especially noticeable on a hard wood floor....instead of dust etc being sucked up, it shoots out the back of the vacuum.

I have made numerous complaints to Alpha Robot Australia, who have admitted there is an issue (I have email proof) and have replaced the part numerous times with the same problem. Even though this issue has now happened 4 times, Alpha Robot refuse to give me a refund even though the item has a 12 month warranty.

I have given this product a rating of 1.0 because most of the time it either isnt working or isnt working properly. I would give www.alpharobot.com.au a zero as a company and unfortunately their warranty is something they only use if they want to.
