I usually use Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones, but when I found myself faced with a 4 hour flight and having forgotten to pack the Sennheisers I bought a pair of these at the airport. They are not great but they are a huge improvement over standard airline headsets. I recommend them to anyone who is thinking of getting noise cancelling headphones but balks at the $200+ price of other brands - try these out first, then when you realise the benefits of noise cancellisation on airline flights you can buy a better pair and donate these to the kids.

The first pair snapped at the hinge after 3 months use. Fine I repaired that myself with a brass hinge and gaffa tape. The next week one of the speakers failed and while I did not have a receipt (they were given to me as a gift) TDK did replace them under warranty (the only reason they got half a star). Now on the second pair the sound has gone all tinny and they are rendered useless once again. My advice if you do decide to purchase these headphones is to keep the receipt, you will need it for a refund!!!
