I like this camera more than my EOS 1000D but feel that it is too much of a beast for candid work.

What most commentaries missed is the fact Nikon has their unique and fantastic CLS flash system. Many, in camera settings for jpeg, handling. The RAW files are exceptionnal in quality for an APS-C camera,39 point auto-focus. On the negative but easily corrected at the shooting time of is a strong tendancy to over-exposed in sunny days, burning the highlights to keep details in the shadows.
