- Pros$599 for desktop computer
- ConsMedion Akoya computer from Aldi
After 3 weeks, my Medion Akoya E2025D computer from Aldi has developed a very noisy fan if left on for longer than 6 hours. Also, blue screen of death occurs every few days now and system restore is needed to get startup to work again. It's just become a giant headache. Wish I didn't buy it now. (my 4 year old Medion from Aldi is still working very well but has XP and can't be upgraded to Windows 7)

Very nice review, thankyou. I was most curious if it could handle WoW and you cleared that up. I will probably buy this.

- Prosbang for your buck, build quality
- Conscheap mouse, but who really uses these anyway?
Hi,
I bought this product based mainly on your review and previous positive experiences with several other Medion PCs (Europe). I am more then happy with it. It would be very handy to know which video cards would also fit (if you don't have a old ATI Radeon HD 4770 ), especially which one would be the fastest one still fitting!!!
cheers

Any idea if the memory can be increased? say for instance using 2 * 4 gig instead of the 2 * 2gig installed ram?

A very nice little rig, very worthy of the $500 spent. The onboard graphics isn't enough for the casual gamer, but a HD6770 fits rather cozily onto the MB and boosts performance considerably in games such as WoW and Fallout: New Vegas for as little as an extra $75.
