History of GPS Quiz

For hundreds of years, the only way to navigate was to look up at the sky and use the position of the sun or if at night the stars and work it out from there!

Of course weve come a long way since then, and when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik in the late 1950s a new navigational tool was born.

Today GPS-devices are commonly found in cars, as well as in smart phones heralding a new era of marriage savers. No more arguments on holidays when navigating to a new location or travelling in a foreign country.

How much do you know really about GPS? Why not take our short History of GPS quiz and find out? We'll score your results and let you know how you go. And in the unlikely event you make a mistake, we'll even tell you the right answer.

(And if our GPS quiz master doesn't whet your appetite, you can also take our History of Google quiz, History of Broadband quiz, History of Mac quiz or our History of Linux quiz!)
