Data Analyst (Query Scripting and Reporting)

This is a large iconic Australian organisation with an enviable reputation and work environment. The position's objectives will be to become expert in the structure, coding and toolsets used to implement CA and then to help develop and extend its application to key areas of the business. The position requires data analysis skill in extraction, merging and transformation of large data sets across systems and database environment, with experience in designing analytical approach, identifying key findings, and producing output for non-technical audiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the initial point of contact for users of Risk & Assurance applications - Protecht (WORMS), PAWS and ACL
  • Development and maintenance of continuous monitoring applications / scripts
  • Assist with data analysis and planning in preparation for assurance reviews and special projects
  • Undertake IT related risk and assurance reviews
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Reports and Board / Committee Papers
Key skills and experiences
  • 2+ years of experience in ETL and data analysis
  • Exposure to the use of ACL, Oracle, TSQL, PHP or VBA coding exposure
  • Knowledge of SAP, including relationship of key tables, how data is stored, security features & key TCodes
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Service), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Service) advantageous
  • Familiarity with risk management systems (e.g. Protecht, Cura, Active Risk, or similar) highly regarded
  • Management of Internet services (IIS) at departmental level
  • Operating systems, i.e. Windows and Unix
  • ODBC connections
