For $1455, this machine is a well-performing and well-featured solution for a first-time PC buyer.

This is a decent and solidly built machine for everyday tasks. The large 19in LCD monitor sacrifices a discrete graphics card and a slightly larger hard drive to keep the cost down, but we think it’s worth it.

The TI Value 1500 is a tough little system. Between the encoding, gaming and World Bench 5 tests you're looking at a good all round package that will do just about anything you need and has some upgrade potential for when the time comes.

This is a relatively simple PC, which has been designed to be as power-efficient as possible. For the most part, it consumes well under 100W of electricity, even under a full load, yet it's definitely not a slow coach. It's suited to large PC roll-outs for schools and government departments, and also for any office where employees forget to switch off their PCs before leaving for the day.

The Veriton is neither a top-end performer, or at all sluggish, but for its tiny frame it performs fairly well. If compact, quiet and cool are criteria for your next business PC then it's a worthy choice.

The A57 is tiny and power efficient, and it's suitable for businesses large and small. It was a little sluggish in our tests, but not enough to hinder basic office applications and multitasking.

The Lenovo A55 offers businesses a whole package solution suited to the office environment. The capacity for RAM upgrades and the available expansion slots give the system a degree of future proofing, but the limited size of the case suggests Lenovo intend this system to be replaced, rather than dramatically upgraded, when it eventually becomes obsolete.

This system would be more appealing if it shipped with a monitor. However, it's a compact system with good speed and has plenty of options for future upgrades.
