Apple’s greenest notebook ever is also one of its best. The MacBook Pro is overpriced, but you certainly get a powerful and exquisitely designed machine for your hard-earned cash. It’s not perfect, but using it is a largely positive experience on the whole.

If you already own a MacBook Pro, there is little reason to upgrade. For the rest of us, Apple's power notebook is a fine machine on the whole.

The ASUS G2S is a solid and powerful gaming solution for gamers on the road. The included backpack is an excellent carry bag and the gaming mouse is a nice addition. The move towards HDMI and e-SATA is promising.

The overall performance of the W1 is pretty much on par with its competition, but its design and value-added features make it stand out from the pack

There's a lot to this notebook, and while it works great for the most part, it could still use a little refinement, especially with regards to its video input ports. Overall though, it's a great media centre notebook and it does have tremendous storage capacity.

It's hard to agree with this format as there is little benefit for a lot of work and considerably more noise. It's not that it hasn't been well engineered or that it doesn't produce good results, it's just that it doesn't seem worth it. For the same price you can get an equal performer with less of a heating issue and less bulk. As a desktop replacement it's fine, but as a notebook we're not impressed.

The Asus G2P is not intended to run the latest games at the best quality settings, but with all the accessories and gadgets it's an excellent portable gaming machine

Overall, the Lamborghini VX2 is solidly constructed and has good features and speed for everyday tasks, and some gaming. The Lamborghini styling is a real head-turner and, ultimately, it's what you're paying for.

The 9300 delivers a big 17in screen, mid-weight and great performance - particularly on the graphics front.

With its extra-high-resolution screen and terrific built-in speakers, the Inspiron 6000 would be ideal for getting work done or watching movies.

Although Dell's build quality is once again a winner, the Inspiron 9400 is lacking in other areas, mainly looks and graphics.
