The PF 507 is a disappointing product that fails to inspire the very good idea of a digital photo frame.

Pleo can be viewed as a major evolutionary step forward in toy robotics. Its artificial intelligence and advanced sensors make its competitors look prehistoric. However, we’re not convinced that Pleo will make for an enjoyable toy, particularly among youngsters who prefer flashy trick-laden gadgets. As such, its appeal will be limited to those who can appreciate the sophisticated AI.

This is a neat device on which to display 'happy snaps'. It lacks a few key features, such as a remote control and wall mounts, and it can be a little hard to use, but its picture quality is very good and it can be viewed adequately from wide angles.

Nothing stands out on this photo frame, but it executes its basic function without too many issues.

Viewsonic's 7in photo frame retains the minimal feature set of its 8in counterpart, while opting for a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The result is a decent quality frame that is a little too small.
