Dell's UltraSharp 2007WFP monitor is a great choice for those after an all around PC monitor for day-to-day usage.

The only problem with this monitor is its reflective screen, which can be a bit of a nuisance in a well-lit environment. Apart from that, its colours and luminance were exceptional in all our tests. It's well-suited to viewing and editing photos, as well as movie-watching and game-playing.

If its black level wasn't set so low, we would give this monitor a higher rating as its not a bad monitor overall. But, the lack of definition in dark areas was enough to put us off.

For everyday tasks, this Flatron is well-suited. It doesn't produce a perfect image, but it does a serviceable job of displaying images and movies.

Despite a couple of little problems with the greyscale and black level, this screen is worth considering, especially for an office environment.

All things considered, this monitor is very easy on the eyes. Its colour reproduction was excellent, it didn't suffer from any motion problems and it was viewable even from the most obtuse angles. It's well worth considering, if you can afford it, and not only can it be used as a computer monitor, it can also be used to plug in gaming consoles, a digital TV set-top box, or even a VCR.

A strong all purpose display panel, NEC's MultiSync LCD2490WUXi is a good choice for those after a big display for a variety of tasks.

Dell's UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC is a goliath of a monitor. With 30in of display space, it is large enough for any computer user's needs. Unfortunately, the lack of connectivity and calibration options and a few image quality issues mean it is more suited to those who want the biggest panel they can find, rather than image quality purists.

With many manufacturers releasing panels at 30in, the 28in Viewsonic VX2835wm is a cheaper and viable alternative.

While the VW202T displayed good colours and contrast, it isn't vibrant. Its black colour also isn't rich enough. For everyday applications, however, and for use in an office or at home, it's well suited, and the wide aspect ratio means that two documents can be worked on side-by-side.
