A nice all-rounder, BenQ's 24in G2400W offers HDMI connectivity for media enthusiasts and balanced colour reproduction for professionals.

Good looks and nice features don't adequately compensate for the FP231W 's less-than-stellar display.

BenQ’s V2400W features a stylish design, and its excellent performance in most areas means that it’s ideal for the typical PC user or gamer. The addition of HDMI should also appeal to console owners.

The BenQ FP91V+ sports a glossy, bright screen that makes graphics look great.

BenQ's screen offers reasonable all-round performance for a moderate price. Though it's pitched at consumers, it requires a bit of tweaking to get the image perfect.

A performance-driven monitor, the FP71V's excellent response times and generally high quality images make it ideal for gamers and lovers of action movies. Users looking for high quality and precise images may find this BenQ model to be slightly inadequate.

While the FP222W specifications aren't outstanding, they're not disastrous either, and the BenQ works well within its limited remit. This is only the beginning of the 22in revolution, but if you don't want to wait to see what's coming out in a few months, the FP222W will give you a taste without emptying your bank balance.

Despite some problems with noise and a brightness limitation, this screen performed well in our tests and is worth considering if you need a big screen monitor.

It remains to be seen if Chei Mei can sort out the image problems we observed in this engineering sample for the shipping version of this monitor. We hope it does, because its vast inputs make it a decent choice for an environment where multiple devices will be plugged in to it. We'll be updating this review (and our rating) once the shipping version becomes available to us.

While not a perfect monitor, the Chi Mei CMV 222H is versatile and will provide decent images for everyday computing, as well as viewing photos and movies.

Likely to be popular with IT managers looking to save money on a multi-seat installation, but not ideal for individual home users - unless you're on a really tight budget.

If you don't want one of the all-in-one monitor and printer calibration solutions, the Spyder3Elite is a well-priced choice.
