AOC's 2219P2 would have been a pretty middle-of-the-road monitor, but the horrible ghosting issues we encountered coupled with the backlight bleeding mean this is probably a display to steer clear of.

Despite a few small flaws, the large size and the small price of this monitor make it one that you should definitely consider when you're shopping for a bargain. It performed particularly well when displaying photographs and its high resolution is great for viewing images taken with a high megapixel camera.

The 210V isn't the best quality screen we've seen, but it's more than suitable for everyday tasks, watching movies and playing games.

This AOC showed us good contrast and brightness during our tests, but its greyscale did suffer from noticeable pink colouring and noise. Nevertheless, it was comfortable to view pictures and movies on this screen, and the webcam is a neat addition.

An amazing viewing experience.

Gamers who are after a high speed monitor will be more than satisfied with this 22in model from ASUS.

The ASUS VW222 would suit both office and gaming use, but has issues regarding its appeal to each demographic. For gamers, the integrated speakers could be a turn off while the limited calibration options could be problematic for office users that require a monitor with accurate and adjustable colour.

It's not widescreen, but this monitor delivers where it counts: image, response and sound.

The ASUS PW201 is a great entertainment display for both video games and movies, although the webcam is buggy.

While the VW202T displayed good colours and contrast, it isn't vibrant. Its black colour also isn't rich enough. For everyday applications, however, and for use in an office or at home, it's well suited, and the wide aspect ratio means that two documents can be worked on side-by-side.

If you're after a multimedia and gaming display that also packs in a reasonably good audio system, the ASUS PG221 may be a suitable choice. While its price tag is quite high and the sound quality isn't stunning, overall it should satisfy many users.

Despite its limitations, this monitor is compelling because it has very good contrast. We think its best use is for watching DVDs.
